Instead of foil I used whole peeled carrots and leeks. Pretty darn good

I made this crock pot whole chicken and it was delicious. You are absoutely correct when you said you’d never buy another store bought rotisserie. I did one thing different though…instead of the foil ring, I had some mason jar bands that I used, I know it’s a little tiny bit more cleanup, but I’m currently adjusting my kitchen waste and recycling.
